Pepacoat is an aquous formulations of special emulsion which is fluorine free and has been designed to be applied in much the same way as other coatings (by metered size press, blade, bar, and other similar application method). The performance of coated paper is enhanced by careful selection of base paper substrate. Surface properties such as water holdout, porosity and surface roughness must be taken into consideration since substrate surface has major role to play on barrier performance. The coat thickness varies as per requirement of the barrier, which is 6-9gm/m² (in general) of dry coat.
